We have many hidden homeless in Faversham - very few people bother to register because they know that social housing, council housing, is a thing of the past.
Arc 4 in their survey distinguished between households that intend to move home that are in housing need and those that seek to move home for aspirational reasons.
If we discount those wanting to move to a smaller or larger house that leaves 721 hidden homeless.
The survey also found that there were 211 people sofa surfing in Faversham in 2020.
But if you do not register you are invisible which makes it harder to make the argument for more really affordable housing - so please register. You can do it here.
